Manaslu Trekking

Manaslu trekking offers a unique opportunity to experience a reasonably "untouched" region of Nepal. This region of Nepal sees few trekkers, which makes a visit here more exclusive and unspoiled. Manaslu trekking has been open since 1991, it provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal, Tibet and is now a controlled trekking route, allowing organized trekking groups special permits to gain entry into this region to venture round its spectacular circuit. Manaslu has a unique environment, which is exceptionally rich in bio diversity that has made this region one of the finest tourist destinations of Nepal for many years. The majestic Himalayan ranges in this area consist of cultural diversities and natural scenery with high altitude romantic glacier lakes and fascinating flora and fauna, all features of this region, have made it one of the most well liked places of Nepal.

 

The trek ascends through Buri Gandaki river to Larkya La Pass 5200m with attractive views o Himalchuli, Manaslu 8163m, Ganesh Himal and other mountains, beautiful varied landscape and different flora and fauna. Heading north from Gorkha, along the Burhi Gandaki river, the route then turns westwards into a high alpine valley with typical Tibetan villages and a number of fine monasteries. From Larkya La, the descent is steep and usually snow covered upto Tanbuche. The descent, once off the snow, takes us through alpine then tropical areas, bursting with ferns, bamboo, pine trees, waterfalls and aqua-blue green lakes laced with cotton-white beaches. Ascent Larkya La pass (5200m.) is rewarded by stunning views of Manaslu & Annapurna peaks which is one of the best trekking in Nepal. We join the trail Annapurna circuit trekking route place call Dharapani and follow the Marsyangdi river south. Shorter duration treks is also possible in area. Trekking in Manaslu begins from Gorkha or Dhading along with Larke pass (5200 m.) after passing the pass, we continue our trekking to the Annapurna trails after Dharapani to Besisahar then drive back to Kathmandu. Passing though magnificent forests of rhododendron, Pine and Juniper which then give way to apple orchards around Thonje and Dharapani. escend further the alpine vegetation gives way to subtropical lushness.
