Annapurna Circuit Trekking: day to day experience

Experience of Back to Wilderness
Up and out for 7am today for an hour and a half 4×4 drive from Besisahar to Sangay – doing the mountain dance on the bumpy road, then a 21km hike from Sangay to Dharapani, where we have settled for the evening at a mere 1960m.
If your wondering what the man sitting on the mountain is doing, he’s making some plumbing out of bamboo!
Well earned hot shower, and bed
Back up tomorrow for another 5-6 hour hike

Day 2:
Up and out for 0800 today for a 17km trek (5-6hrs) from Dharapani to Chame.
Lots more lovely people along the way, some familiar plants spotted too (rude not to look!) and the Mountain peaks just visible over the top of the edge of the deepest gorge in the world.
We finished up at 2710m in Chame and after a hot shower, fantastic meal and a few games of Uno, it’s off to bed for a 0630 breakfast tomorrow. Long trek again, with some added altitude hopefully finishing up at 3300m at Upper Pisang.
Thanks and absolute respect to both our brilliant guide Bishnu, and super human porter, Robbie!
Water to go bottles are really coming into their own here, as there’s an abundance of fresh water, so saves carrying the extra water – just fill as you go.

P.s. found my huge Boonie Kettles bigger brother too!
